Evangelical Campaign at Oyom-Abang (Yaoundé-Cameroon)

It is with great fanfare that the “JEVIC” (Living Youth for Christ) has invested during the period from 22 to 26 April 2015, the Oyom-Abang neighborhood, located in Yaoundé (in Cameroon) for an Evangelical campaign under the coordination of the national responsible of “JEVIC”, the Reverend Pastor TCHANA Landry.

This evangelical program started on Wednesday 22 and Thursday, April 23, 2015 through awareness sessions. This stage of the program was to distribute treated to local residents and its surroundings, and invite them to take part in the evangelical crusade.

Friday April 24, the evangelical campaign which was held at the crossroads Camp Sonel Oyom-Abang, began around 4 p.m. by the animation performed by youth. The evangelization in that day was conducted by the Evangelist of the day Brother Samuel FMUKAM under the theme: the misfortune of Man comes from himself.

Through biblical passages such as Genesis 3, 1-10, 1 Corinthians 6, 9-10, Isaiah 48, 22 … The evangelist told the audience that the Man is the cause of suffering and all the torments that we live today. The Man is the author of his downfall and separation with God the Creator. However, the good news is that GOD, not wanting the eternal loss of Man, has initiated through the latter reconciliation with God through the atoning death of the Lord Jesus according to John 3, 16: <<For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life>>.

After the sermon, the evangelist will launch the call to invite those who accepted that Word and undertook to renounce the old life, the evil life and walked in a newness life before God according to His Word, to stand up so that the servants of God can pray for them. About twenty-one favorably received this invitation and committed to follow the Lord JESUS for the rest of their lives.

The evangelization continued that first day in the same vein by Pastor TCHANA Landry and Brother Eléazar TCHEMTCHOUA; the aim being to bring everyone to become aware of his situation in relation to his Creator and to make the decision to reconcile with him. This first day will end at around 8:00 p.m.

During the second evening of Saturday, April 25, the evangelization will be conducted by the Pasteur TCHANA Landry. In the same vein, it will continue to explain to the audience that Man is the source of his own suffering because of the rebellion of life to which he gives himself every day. For all the suffering people endure on earth (diseases, wars, moral suffering, destruction of families, …) are the consequences of disobedience to the Word of God. But thanks to the Lord JESUS, Man can find peace with God to live happily on this earth and inherit eternal life at the last day. The evangelization of that day will be mainly based on the text of Isaiah 9: 1-3 and Luke 4, 17-19.

During the evening, Pastor also addressed a prayer to God so that he confirms the truth of his Word by healing those who came being sick. After this prayer, about ten people testify that they came ill and after prayer, their suffering ceased.

The closing worship service chaired by the Reverend Pastor TCHANA Landry was held in the assembly of Oyom-Abang. The basic text was taken from the book of Luke 12, 40-50, preaching the theme: Believing in God without hypocrisy.

The preacher told that like people whose story is recounted in the generated text, many believe that the word of GOD is true, but refuse to commit to walk in it for fear of the eyes of men, for fear of losing the honors which are due,… He explained in accordance with the basic text, that he who obeys JESUS does not obey to JESUS but to GOD and only one who obeys GOD will take part in the eternal life at the last day.

It is in a joy’s atmosphere that the worship service was completed at around 12 noon with a meeting between the servant of God and about 25 new ones who have accepted the invitation of the LORD and took part to this closing worship service.
All the beloved are called to pray to GOD that these new souls dwell in his house to serve him to eternal life.

Bulletin of announcements May 2015

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord JESUS-CHRIST, hallelujah!

It is with continuous Joy that I meet you once more this month of May though the Bulletins of announcements’s editorial. I greet you in the name of JESUS-CHRIST, begging you to receive my greetings in brotherly love as it is written: « See what kind of love the father has given to us that we should be called children of GOD; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him»(1 John 3:1).

Is this not a great miracle that the Lord has done in the person of our beloved Savior JESUS-CHRIST, making us his family’s members? Yes, we are siblings, born of GOD, through the blood of JESUS-CHRIST which has reconciled us with GOD, erasing our sins. The memory of this wonderful happiness should be enough to give Christians the joy of living together and overcome all the difficulties. Indeed, knowing that by JESUS-CHRIST, GOD is no longer angry provides us unspeakable and invaluable peace. This new is given us by the Gospel, the message of reconciliation: reconciliation between Man and his creator, reconciliation between man and his fellow man. Hallelujah!

By the Gospel, GOD showed us that he has never stopped loving us, and he has set-up to the Man a wonderful project of happiness, but this one, has hidden himself far from GOD, choosing rather to love sin. GOD has continued to reach out to the Man and to show his willingness to forgive. The Apostle of the kinds (Paul) shows us that GOD has reconciled us to him through JESUS- CHRIST (2 Cor 5:18). Being reconciled to him, he also gave us the Ministry of reconciliation, to teach us to reconcile among ourselves and with GOD.

Reconciliation is underpinned by love. It is for love that GOD has forgiven us and he also asks us to love each other in order to forgive each other: «Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you »(Eph 4:32 ) .

Being thus reconciled with GOD and with each other, we should not we who are called from GOD, have discord among us. However, the Apostle James was surprised to the contrary in these terms: « What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this that your passions are at war within you? » (James 4: 1).

The Christian should be filled with the feeling of forgiveness, since GOD himself has forgiven us. Do not forget, beloved, the force of the devil is in hatred, denial of forgiveness and reconciliation. Whatever harmed we can be, we must always be filled with the noble sense of forgiveness. To the question of how many times the Christian must forgive his neighbor, Jesus replies: « I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven » (Mt 6:22) or 490 times in one day! In fact, beloved, who can be offended more than he has offended GOD? Since GOD has forgiven us, we must also forgive; as he loved us, we also ought to love one another.

The Christian ‘s strength is in his ability to forgive ; that is where we have upper hand of the devil with his hate procession, animosities , complaints … the Apostle John says: «Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause of stumbling »(1 Jn 2:10 ) .

We are always looking for beloved who may help to collect information in their Ecclesiastical Department or in their Assembly and forward them to us. This is very important for us to continually improve our service to elected representatives.

Beloved, your Bulletin of Announcements will be 13 years old in this month of May. Thirteen years of hard work to ensure a regular periodicity and unparalleled… We say thank you to the Lord who has given us the strength to make this work. We say also thanks to all the beloved who help us in every way to ensure that we fulfill this mission. Continuously, we are very grateful to critics and the positive comments to help us improve our work.

In this issue we present on the calendar of activities within the Church, those that have succeeded in writing: birth (although it does send more so), weddings and especially the recall of circular letter of 18 May 2000, is 15 years old to show us the provisions taken by the church about the Evangelical action in our Christian home.

Hope to return next month; we pray to the Lord to keep you in his paternal wings.
